Family Rings: A Unique Symbol of Harmonic Relationships

Exclusive Conceptual Jewelry by Arman Nur

Arman Nur, a renowned designer, has created a set of rings that beautifully symbolize the concept of a traditional Armenian family. These rings, designed exclusively for his own family, showcase the unique and harmonious relationships within.

The inspiration behind these rings came from the deep-rooted bonds and harmonious connections found in Armenian families. Arman Nur's hallmark is to never repeat his artworks, making these rings truly one-of-a-kind.

What sets these rings apart is the way they reflect the individual personalities of family members. The rings for his twin daughters, although nearly identical in appearance, display different colors and figure motions. The invisible yet strong link between them is represented by delicate chains. To complete the family portrait, two additional rings symbolizing the mother and father were added.

Arman Nur personally crafted these rings, starting from the initial drawings on paper to the handmade wax modeling and casting of 18-carat gold. The meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship is evident in the final pieces.

The rings are made of 18-carat white, yellow, and pink gold. The pink gold pieces have a matte finish, the white gold rings are rhodium plated, and the yellow gold rings have a polished surface. Each ring is perfectly sized to fit the finger of its respective family member.

Not only are these rings examples of conceptual jewelry, but they can also be considered minor plastic artworks or mini sculptures. They beautifully capture the essence of the Armenian family and serve as a testament to the designer's creativity and skill.

The idea for these rings was born and realized in August 2016 in Yerevan, Armenia. Arman Nur conducted extensive research to ensure that each ring accurately portrayed the unique characteristics and preferences of its wearer. For example, the ring symbolizing the mother is depicted in a yoga position, reflecting her love for yoga.

Creating this set of rings presented its challenges. Arman Nur had to carefully balance the depiction of each family member's personality and state of mind while considering the ergonomics and everyday wearability of the rings. The result is a stunning collection that beautifully captures the essence of family.

Arman Nur's Family Rings have received recognition in the design world. They were awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Jewelry, Eyewear, and Watch Design category in 2018. This prestigious award is given to designs that meet professional and industrial requirements, showcasing innovation, practicality, and exceptional design.

Arman Nur's Family Rings are not just pieces of jewelry; they are symbols of love, harmony, and the unique connections within a family. They serve as a reminder of the beauty and strength that can be found in familial relationships.
